US Business PayPal account for a California LLC, with owner living in California. Software sold online, 95% to UK customers so the billing is done in GBP, so I have a GBP balance and a USD balance (usually zero), plus an "estimated USD value". When I withdraw money to my US business bank account it naturally undergoes a currency conversion. That is, the product is sold and charged in GBP. The actual currency conversion happens at time of withdrawal, not time of sale. All well and good - for me. Now, I also have contractors in the UK so would really like to pay them without anybody incurring a double whammy: a currency conversion from USD back to GBP - or to minimise any other fees. Currently I do this: PayPal (US) business -> US bank account -> XE.com -> my UK bank account -> contractors' bank accounts (double whammy) But would any of these be cheaper AND still within PayPal's Ts&Cs and the relevant laws: 1. PayPal (US) business -> PayPal (UK) personal -> UK bank account -> contractors' bank accounts 2. PayPal (US) business -> PayPal (UK) personal -> contractors' PayPal (UK) accounts 3. PayPal (US) business -> Contractors' PayPal (UK) accounts (I think this is a 3% fee; deducted from the amount they receive if I select "pay for goods or services") 4. PayPal (US) business -> my UK bank account (does not seem to be possible) Or any others? Trying to do everything above board while cutting costs for my small business and my contractors. They're responsible for their taxes, as am I with mine. A few years ago I did research a merchant account with Wells Fargo (my bank) but they wanted my domain name to be .com instead of .co.uk so they could control it. Backed away slowly while smiling. The fees weren't any better than PayPal at my sales volume anyway. Thanks.
