I made a payment using a debit card to the wrong payees account. It was unclaimed so I immediately cancelled it The pament has still been debited. Is this correct? Will my debit card be refunded at some point? The transaction shows as "cancelled" in my PayPal transaction history

Thank you for the reply. It's only a few days and not a lot of money. It was just that a lot of things didn't add up. No communication with seller, new seller, item too cheap. I just wondered wether there was some kind of scam that I wasn't aware of.

Bought something on eBay. It seemed too cheap and a new seller. Got message from eBay saying seller has cancelled and that I haven't paid. Looks like seller cancelled and issued a refund but refund is "Pending" at Paypal. Something doesn't seem right and I'm expecting refund to fail? Anyone have experience of this?
