I recently tried to use my Paypal account to make a couple of transactions. I received an error message multiple times. I called the customer service department and was informed that my account had been looked at by the "compliance" department as a routine audit. They then preceded to freeze my account because they wanted to verify my identity and physical address. I had received no prior warning of this request. PayPal just left it to me not being able to use my account in order to discover it. I provided a picture of my ID (WHICH HAS MY ADDRESS ON IT). I was not able to provide a utility bill as they requested because all of our bills are in my wife's name. I have been a Paypal user for over 10 years. I currently have funds in my account but am unable to use it. Along with a long list of restrictions, one of them is not being able to transfer MY MONEY into my own bank account. What in world are they thinking!? That is my money! If I chose not to use Payapl any longer because of how I was treated, I can't even get my money back. That is stealing! You are holding my own money ransom unless I follow you demands!
