I had a situation over Christmas where my mother (in her 80s now) wanted me to order a dress from her from a website that seemed legit that I believe she found on Facebook. It was lulugal.com. I should have googled it first, but it looked like a very real catalog and the fee seemed appropriate (actually too low - should have been my first clue). It was from China, but I didn't mind waiting a little longer. When over a month passed, I googled them and found it had a 1 star rating and a pattern of luring buyers in with it's low prices and cute clothes and then asking them to wait "just 1 week longer). The clothing either never arrived (as in my case) or it was not as described when sellers got it. Paypal was very nice and refunded my money and resolved in my favor, but I want to put this website out of business! Does anyone know to whom I would pursue this or report to? My only thought is the Better Business Bureau, but I don't think they would shut them down, just not give them a good rating. I saved my emails to and from them directly but there was no way to upload to Paypal (that I found - there may be a way and I haven't had to do this before). I just hate the idea of them preying on older people (my mom is elderly and I'm middle-aged - still kicking myself for not googling them first). I would like to fight fraud when I see it so blatant like this, but other than trying to report on Facebook (if that is where she saw the ad), what can I do? Any feedback would be appreciated. Again, Paypal was wonderful about resolving my claim, but I don't know if they have a fraud department that goes after these guys - there must be so many out there like this. I just would like to know how to properly report them so others aren't taken advantage of. Thank you in advance for any advice, and Happy New Year to all!
