One pretty simple way to tell if it's legit or not is if they're having you fill out tax forms. Any place that pays you out in actual money and not gift cards or prizes for a service you've provided, has to file it with the IRS, just the same as you're supposed to. So if you're not asked to submit a 10-90, W4 or something along those lines, then steer clear of being taken advantage of.
