Sorry about Kernowlass's rude reply OP.   It seems to be something she thinks is clever or something.   There are differences in the currency converters that make the amounts different sometimes - I normally notice a few pence higher than what it quotes on ebay or Etsy by the time it goes through Paypal.  It's just how currency conversion works I'm afraid.   There are also cross border fees although I am not sure quite how applicable they are within Europe.   ... Sorry for Kernowlass's rude reply OP.     The discrepancy in the times in the different messages is just probably them coming from different authors originally.      In my experience if your account is new to receiving money and withdrawing it can take several days to appear in your bank account.   If it's something you do regularly it will be instant.   Your best bet is to go to the contact us bit of Paypal and get the number to give them a call to clarify completely.   ... If you open the transaction in Paypal is there a cancel option?   On Ebay if you send a payment and it is pending there is an option to cancel it.  I am unsure if this is the case with off ebay transactions but worth a try.  You have to log into Paypal and open the transaction and look for a link to cancel. ... Sellers can disable the add a message option in their accounts.  Probably your seller has done this as notes added in Paypal often get missed anyway.     When you get the receipt you'll have their email address that the payment went to so you can email them direct. ... View more

Kernowlass, why are you also so aggressive in your posts?   You absolutely did post your reply as if he was selling and totally ignored what he wrote in is orginal about requesting money from friends.   How come you didn't just explain that the best way to get money from friends is via Paypal Me like you did in your second post.   I'm totally unable to understand why you spend most of your life on these forums when you are so dismissive of everything anyone posts.     If you want to help why don't you approach each question in a friendly manner instead of being aggressive and patronising to people who are just asking for help?   Note that I haven't needed to use capitals in this post like you enjoy doing so much.   ...
