Hello, Most of my transactions will involve receiving US Dollar amounts of less than 50 cents. While the majority of transactions will originate in the US, I expect a fair share of international micropayments. I have recently changed my business PayPal account to the Micropayments fee structure, but I still need some clarity when it comes to how incoming international payments are being handled under the Micropayments plan. First of all, let it be said that I only accept US Dollar payments. My confusion was born when I was reading something about UK-UK, EU-EU.., or US-US payments. My questions are: (1) How would a US$0.25 payment from, let's say.. a Romanian buyer paying by credit card be handled when compared to the same payment of US$0.25 received from a US source paying with a US PayPal account? (2) Does it make a difference whether someone pays such a small US$ (US Dollars only!) amount from a country or another OTHER THAN the cross-border fee? (3) I understand that a cross-border fee of 1% applies when receiving out-of-country payments, but since I only accept US$ payments, am I correct to assume that no currency conversion fees are charged to MY PayPal account regardless where the payments come from, as long as they are in US$? (I believe such currency conversion fees are either charged by the buyer's financial institution or deducted from the buyer's PayPal account) (4) Are there any scenarios when the Micropayment fee structure does not apply and fees kick back to the regular (2.9% + .30) scheme? Thank you in advance!
