If you plan to close an account make sure you remove ALL bank account and credit card information. You will not be able to link those accounts later of you don't remove them before closing. If you ow money or have funds pending you can't close the account. Closing it will not prevent chargebacks or disputes from previous sales. It's probably best to call PayPal customer service to discuss your options and reasons. When an acocunt is closed, it's permanent, I beleive. I think you will need to open a new account.
