Trying to log into my account because a friend sent me money that she owed me. At the log in page, though, after entering my email and password, PayPal asks for another verification step with a phone number. I enter my mobile phone number, but PayPal says it can't verify that it's my number, even though I have had the SAME number for about 8 years, which is well within the time I started using PayPal for anything. I don't have my debit card with me to verify the last 4 digits of the card on my account, so I will do that when I get home. But am I the only one that thinks the customer service is absolutely ATROCIOUS?! I can't email PayPal without logging into my account, but I can't log in because apparently they don't recognize my number, and when I call all they want is the number associated with my account, which apparently doesn't exist?! Plus no option on the phone call to speak to a human being or address other issues. But I can stil change my password via email.......SO WHY CAN'T I VERIFY MY ACCOUNT VIA EMAIL? Why can't I email PayPal without logging in???? Seriously? I'm so annoyed and irritated right now. Oh, I could also create this account to post here, since it's the only place that I'm able to ask anyone if this is the norm. Still baffled that I can't email PayPal without logging in--but they are preventing me from logging in.
