yes , i received an email and message on ebay that i have been refunded for an item i paid for but never received. And it does show up in my recent activity on paypal account. it reads as follows : "We have decided to issue you a courtesy refund for this case on Apr 01, 2016 to the PayPal account you used to purchase this item. The refund includes the purchase price plus original shipping. Please log in to your paypal to get your refund."
