So this is the latest.   Finally able to contact australian post.   "Hi there, sorry about the delay in response, This item has left Australia, however no further scanning after please have sender contact us for further investigation. I'm afraid our process is for the Sender to contact us about this one as they have the postal contract with us, If the sender refuses to I'd recommend raising a dispute with Paypal. -Tahlia"   So unfortunately they are refusing to help, unless the sender contacts them.   And the sender has refused all contact with me to being with.   And paypal, have told me they aren't going to do anything and that I have to sort it out with australian mail. ... I'm looking for more of a person who knows paypal terms and conditions very well, as the staff I've spoken to haven't been honest with me to begin with, they told me something different at the start and then have changed their story as time goes on.   Or a person who had the same issue and was able to get their money back. ... So I'll keep this short.    Paypal refunded a buyer from australia and withdraw money from my account.   Item never had tracking number, and was supposedly sent normal delivery, although I have my doubts I have compelling evidence that the guy is a con artist, though that's of no concern because paypal said it doesn't matter.     So item has never turned up.   Phoned paypal, they said australia has different policies than england and that they are allowed to send items untracked, and that if it's lost, it's lost and it's my problem and not theirs.   So could anyone who is familar with the law tell me do I have any chance of getting my money back? ... Paypal stole my money, heartbroken.

  Paypal has stolen my money, and I'm just destroyed.   On 29-Apr-15 I sold two items to a ebay user with 3 feedback.   Three months later on 12-Jul-15 he opened a case with ebay saying the items weren't as described, however that was a lie, the ebay page was still up with pictures of the items, showing what he claimed was nonsense. I messaged the seller, no replies were given.   Ebay closed the case and went in my favour.   Two months later on 19 Sep 2015 the same person opened a case on me with paypal.   I looked up the ebay account and found that it had been deleted. So obvious that this person was a fraudster, I gave paypal all the same evidence as I did on ebay, with pictures, and told them about the ebay account being banned. Instead of them looking at the evidence, they automatically decided to go in his favour.   I read that the buyer must return the items with a tracking number. However a couple of days later, paypal just took my money out of my account, without giving me any tracking number.   On 7 Oct 2015 I phoned up paypal, and told them I had been given no tracking number, they said that’s strange and that my money should of only been taken out my account after I had received my item. They said they’d contact me with a tracking number. And they said, “don’t worry my money is completely safe” - They never did email me, like they promised.   On 14 Oct 2015, I called them again, asking for the tracking number. They gave me one, however it didn’t work. I phoned again. This time, they said, because it’s Australia I have to wait a month for it to arrive, I waited. Nothing came.   I phoned again, this time they said because it’s a month later, there was nothing they can do, I told them, they were the ones who made me wait so long. They put me on hold to look at the case, this time they said, the tracking number is fake, and that they were going to pass the case on to the manager to get my money back and email me within 72 hours. They never did of course.   I phoned again, today, this time, they said Australia doesn’t need to give tracking numbers. That I wasn’t going to get my money back. And that it’s my responsibility to call Australian post. Even though it’s so clear to me that the parcel was never sent in the first place. I asked what about ebay banning him, he said even if he is a scammer, there’s nothing paypal is going to do.   So that’s my story. My mistake is trusting paypal to be a fair and responsible company.   I know that now there is nothing I can do paypal are nothing but thieves.   I’ve been lied to time and time again, and just feel completely violated and heartbroken. ...
