That definitely sounds odd Rockmvh187, thanks for coming to the Forums so we can figure this out.
PayPal's base fee (in the US anyway) is $.30 + 2.9% of the payment. So I would expect the fees to be about $6.10 on a $200 payment. That being said, were these payments from outside of the US? Was there any type of currency conversion associated with it? Because there would be extra fees associated with those, not to mention any difference in currency conversion. 8.5% still sounds kinda high even figuring all of that in, so you may want to reach out to our customer service so they can take a more thorough look and see what's going on.
