Hey everyone, so I'm having a problem. I ordered curtains on ebay and at the time I had just moved into a new place, so I accidently made an error in my address. Because of the error, the curtains eventually ended up getting sent back to the seller. I understand that the error in address was 100% my fault and I accept the responsibility of paying for the original shipping cost, since this was not the seller's fault and they shouldn't have to lose money for my mistake. But here is the problem. I'd been trying to get a hold of the seller, asking if I may either have a refund for the curtains (minus original shipping) or pay to have them sent back to me at the correct address. I kept trying to reach them but they wouldn't respond, and after a few weeks, I opened an ebay case due to seller not responding. I was trying to work things out as best as I could, politely asking the seller if she would ship the curtains back at my expense, because these curtains are sold out in stores. Due to non-response, ebay had to "step in and help." In the end, they closed the case in her favor, due to tracking number showing the item was delivered to me. But that's the problem, tracking showed the item was delivered, but if you actually look at the tracking details, it shows that it was delivered back to the SELLER and not to me. So keep in mind that the seller recieved their item back AND still has the original payment. I called ebay customer service but they were of no help. Since ebay was of no help I opened a case on paypal and the same thing happened: case closed in seller's favor because tracking shows item was delivered. (Even though they were actually delivered back to her) Is there anything I can do to get my money back? I'm so frustrated that I don't even want the curtains anymore, I just want my money back. (Minus original shipping) I'm not being dishonest, I'm not trying to scam anyone by trying to get a refund including original shipping. I accept that it is my responsibility to provide the correct address and since it was my mistake I pay the original shipping. However, I should still get a refund for the curtains. The seller got their item back AND got some extra cash, while I lost both my money and the item. I don't know why ebay or paypal didn't rule it in my favor. Am I in the wrong here?
