Hi all i purchased a new air pump on ebay to blow up my tyres when they went down as they did from time to time anyway it came and as it was new i never bothered to try it i just put it in the boot and then about 5 weeks later i needed to use it. After plugging it in nothing happened and then i noticed smoke coming from the unit and the wire to the cigar lighter was get very hot so i quickly unplugged it it could have set fire to my leather seats on the jag I contacted ebay and because it was over 30 day they did not want to know under the money back system so i contacted the supplier who told me to send it back as registered post at my cost now bearing in mind the item was only £7.92 its to cost £5 to send it back i opened a dispute with paypal and they say i will have to send it back at my cost WHAT ABOUT THE FAULTY GOODS ACT i even contacted trading standards and they never even replied so BEWARE as soon as you receive an item try it out and test it then ypu may have a comeback I feel let down by Ebay and paypal i think in the future i will pay by credit card for and IF i buy anything else online it seems that they are on;y on the side of the seller as thats where they make their funds looks like i am stuck with a faulty item you can find them on ebay still for sale at around £7 its in a blue and yellow box so do not buy one as they are the pits thanks mickmo
