Update! I’ve finally had a half-response from customer services. They have confirmed that there ARE some restrictiins on PAD during the current C19 crisis, and that some sellers are not accepting PAD transactions as a result. She’s yet to respond to my query regarding my wife being able to buy but me not being able to from the same seller, however. So there ARE restrictions- it would have been so much better if they’d have sent out a blanket email to every user saying exactly that, and that as a result PAD usage can be a bit hit and miss. @Tai101 , just to let you know - what PayPal have told you sounds a bit suspect.  My PAD options have disappeared too, despite it showing as active on my account.  So my wife and I tried something out.  We tried 11 different sellers (some on eBay, some elsewhere) - on EVERY SINGLE ONE she was offered PAD as an option, I was not.  This was today, 22nd April, between 17:00 & 17:20, UK Time. I am still waiting for a response from PayPal as to what the heck is going on, because clearly the "reason" they appear to have provided you is a load of guff. My initial problem with pay after delivery not working appeared to be resolved, but now, everytime I try to use it, and despite pay after delivery being my preferred method of payment, I get no option to use it. When I try to change my method of payment, I now get the message about certain transactions being blocked as an antifraud measure, despite plenty of standard payments being made via my PayPal account (ie just by card or bank transfer). This new issue has been going on for about four weeks now, and customer services (ha ha) have no idea why is doing it, how to stop it, anything basically. Annoyed. ... View more

I've had three different responses from PayPal Customer Services - one is that some sellers are now rejecting P.A.D payments (which makes no sense as the seller receives money from PayPal and not then PayPal collects from us 14 days later), one saying that they have no idea what's going on (great!), and one saying that it's being investigated and I will receive an e-mail within 24 hours (which was 3 days ago). The error message that comes up is clearly misleading too, it makes you think there's a problem with your bank account and not with PayPal, so that causes stress. Other than yourselves, I know of almost a dozen others that are getting the same message and having the same problem, and all of them are trying to buy from sellers who have accepted P.A.D in the past. If there is a problem with the service, why can't they just admit to it? ... View more

I'm having the same problem, lindap630, as is my wife, some friends, and a colleague.  So far I've had three different responses from PayPal Customer Service, one stating that some sellers are now refusing P.A.D payments (??), one saying that there are things being investigated and they will respond in due course, and one saying they have no idea what the problem is! The annoying this the misleading message you get when you try to pay, "this bank account (****) cannot be used at this time. Please use a different payment method from your PayPal account.", which is a load of cobblers - it only fails with P.A.D, not ordinary instant payments.  The message makes you think you've got problems with your bank account! As I say, I know of half a dozen people this is effecting now, all with sellers that have accepted P.A.D in the past without problems. Come on, PayPal, sort it out! ... View more

I've been using the Pay After Delivery fairly frequently since it was introduced, it's a nice additional option to have.  However, since 28th August, although the option appears on the dropdown when I try to make a payment, I now get the error message of "This bank account (****) cannot be used at this time. Please use a different payment method from your PayPal account.".  If I try an ordinary bank transer payment using that particular bank account and NOT Pay After Delivery, it goes through fine. I think I saw something on the Forum (but I might be mistaken) that suggests there may be a general P.A.D issue at the moment that is a few days away from being resolved, but I can't get a straight answer from anyone on the telephone or via e-mail, has anyone else heard/seen anything or currently experiencing this? I know it's not just me - my partner had the same issue when they tried to make a purchase from their own account yesterday using P.A.D, and I've spoken to a colleague who said the same. ...
