Generate Order/Invoice Number On Cart Purchases

I just updated my website to take orders online.  I have it all integrated and I'm still feeling things out but I noticed one thing today with my first order and I'm hoping I can fix it for the second.   Paypal generates a Transaction ID but I'd like to generate my own Order #.  Something with normal numerics that would mean something internally in the shop.  So when a customer contact us they say "our order # is 50052" instead of "2LE-blahblahblah".   Is there a way to do this? ... Resolved the issue myself.  The "All States and Territories" option seems to be broken or just doesn't play nicely with the fact I broke ground shipping down regionally.  When I manually selected all the regions for "Free Shipping" and "Pickup" it works now. ... View more

I'm working steadily along on getting my site up and running and I'm running into a road block when it comes to shipping.   I have 3 main options for shipping.  1. Pickup.  2. Ground.  3. Free Shipping.  Right now, the ground option is automatically selected and it's not giving me the opportunity to pick any other options.   Is there an option somewhere hidden in the Paypal profile that changes this so the drop down menu will show?   I should also add that I am at the very last step and still no drop down.  All there is left to do is hit "Pay Now" ... Thanks for the info.  That takes care of the possibility of getting a lot of spam messages.   How about the other two issues?  Instead of encrypting the data is there any way to possibly have my account setup so that if an order is referred to from my website, that it will read as invalid? ... Custom Add to Cart Button - How To Encrypt/Protect...

Hi,   I'm a coding novice but I like custom options so I was forced into combining various HTML & Java code I found online to create an Add to Cart button that would work for me.   Now that I'm done (more or less), I have concerns about security.  My biggest concern is someone simply taking my code, making their own page with it, and changing my prices so that they can save money/submit fraudulent orders.  My other concern is my email address being on several pages which will obviously result in a lot of spam.  Obviously the last concern is the fact that people will know the email address associated with my account and attempt to hack the account.   So I'm looking for a relatively painless way of masking my email address or doing some sort of basic encryption so that I can protect myself.  If this is just a waste of time and something I shouldn't worry about.   Thank you in advanced. ...
