I would firstly ask your buyer to send a copy of the exact email address that they send the payment to. Sometimes the email address can be missing a dot or sent to .com instead of co.uk. This will rule out if your buyer may have sent it to an incorrect email address.
If this was an eBay item, you should check your eBay sell your item form. There is a section that says "how would you like to be paid". Your email address that is registered to your PayPal account should be in there and should be spelt correctly.
Finally, you can check on your PayPal account to ensure your email address is confirmed.
If all else fails you can always send your buyer a payment request to send the funds direct to their account.
