Thanks for your input. The seller is a business seller and consistently ignored my correspondence and totally frustrated me. Consequently Ebay advisors negotiated for me and in effect took control of the process. Whilst I am grateful for what seems to me to be a partial refund, the seller should not be able to act in this manner. To add insult to injury, Ebay close the case even though it is known that you are not happy with the outcome, and that return postage was agreed. The process was also tedious and elongated - you are forced to enter a tracking number for the return but if you do not have a tracking number you cannot register an acceptable reply so the process remains in limbo. Ebay monitor all correspondence and could be more proactive for the sake of other victims of such treatment.
