Unfortunately I was scammed by a buyer I knew personally. He kept asking me to sell him a virtual game item for cheap and I did to help him out. The transaction went smoothly. We were both pleased. About 2-3 weeks later, he filed an unauthorized claim and won, reversing the $70 he sent me. What infuriates me is that I have solid proof that he scammed me, and when I presented it to PayPal, they didn't seem to even look at it. I know PayPal is buyer friendly, and I took a risk to help a friend who cheated me in the end. At the moment, I have no way to pay back the $70, nor do I want to. He still has the item and took back the money he owes me. I sent an email to PayPal asking for more clarification on why I lost the claim and they did not respond. Instead I received a email saying I better pay the $70 soon before they take more serious actions to retrieve the money. I want to at least know why I lost, and if there's a way to get my money back. I would really appreciate some advice.
