Accepting Credit Cards

I saw the program PP offers that allows PP members to accept CC payments over the phone.  It also looks like there's a $30 monthly fee for this.  My customer needs to pay for a large purchase (approx $5000) and he doesn't want to share with PP the private details they ask for to accept the payment through normal PP methods.   Is there any other way to accept a credit card over the phone so that I avoid the $30 monthly fee?   I know a Cashier's Check would work but there have been so many fake Checks I am hesitant to accept one.     Thx ... Re: Claim Funds

I had the same problem.  The link Paypal sent would open a new account or open my account.  I opened my account and still could find no obvious means to claim the funds, all it did was take me to my account.   I sent a Paypal request for help but have not heard from PP.   Now tthe funds have been seny back causing me to send the customer an Invoice which I am sure he will pay prompty,   This kind of "Claim your funds" transaction needs a more obvious method to claim.  As a merchant I cannot see any value in this.  If the customer sends me a payment it should be applied to my account without delay.   What kind of logic makes you think a payment made should require a delay in payment?  Go to Walmart and tell them the groceries you bought will be paid, but Paypal will hold the funds until they come and claim them.  I hope you can see this makes no sense.   ... Thx ... View more
