It's just irritating that it's down to her giving the wrong address. I would be more than happy to give a refund if the item hadn't been recieved but the address was correct. Thank you for your help ... View more

Yes, it was sent to the exact address that was given on the website, and that is identical to the one on her paypal account. Unfortunately I do not have tracking, only proof of postage. There is an option in the shipping on the website to select recorded delivery but this was not selected. Am I right in thinking I now have no protection without a tracking number for the item, even with proof of postage? ... View more

Buyer gave wrong address, now opening a dispute: I...

I sold an item on my website and the payment was taken by paypal. The buyer put the wrong area and town on her address, as well as using a house name which apparently is not registered with Royal Mail. The item has not arrived. My delivery policy is the same as Royal Mail's, as they are the delivery service I use, and it states that compensation for lost parcels will not be given if the address given is correct. This is clear to see on my website, and she actually will have manually typed out her address to create the account on my website, so cannot even put it down to an error on her paypal account.  She has now opened an Item not received dispute against me on Paypal and is taking it to the police. Does anyone know what can be done about this? I don't know a single company that would take responsibility for a buyer giving the wrong address, but I have heard that paypal usually decide in the buyer's favour so I am a bit worried. Any advice would be gratefully received, thank you. ... View more

I had a very similar issue. When I phoned Paypal, they said they would remove it from my old account, but I had to send in a photo of a bank statement from the last 12 months to prove it was my bank account, so it can be fixed. Hope that helps a little ... View more

If you haven't already phoned them, I would recommend doing so. I've had problem after problem with my account and was very close to shutting mine down too, but I must say I have only ever received a friendly service when I have phoned them. Sorry I can't help more  ... View more

Hi, I have recenty set up a new account, as advised by a Paypal customer service representative, as they closed down my previous account because it was opened before I was 18 (I am now 22). My bank account was registered to my old account, so I now cannot register it to my new one. I was told they would take it off my old account, but that has not been done and, when I phone, I was told to upload a bank statement to prove I owned the bank account.  I cannot find anywhere to upload the document, please can somebody let me know where it is? My account is not limited, so it does not come up as an option in the resolution centre. I run my own business, and have been unable to send money for new stock for 5 days now. It seems there is just one issue after another with Paypal and it's starting to get frustrating now! If anybody could help me, I would be very grateful- I've already racked up a £40 phone bill JUST on calls to Paypal, so I'm a bit reluctant to phone again. Thank you ... View more
