I see no one is responding here and it doesn't surprise me. I've bought over 250 items on ebay utilizing Paypal. I've also sold a few dozen items. Of course when I sold three items a few weeks ago, the buyers paid me immediately, but the funds are still 'pending' and I cannot get to them. I complained about this once before to Paypal (good luck getting someone that speaks the Queen's English) and was told that they do this to 'establish' that you are a reliable seller. How many items must one buy or sell to be deemed 'reliable'? The idea being that just because you say you shipped an item, how do they know you did I suppose. The whole thing is based essentially upon a gentleman's agreement anyway. When I pay someone the money comes out of my account right away - why should Paypal be allowed to 'hold' it? Part of it is that they claim if you print mailing addresses out through paypal (which they charge you for) it will 'speed things along'. They want more money from you to conduct business. I know for fact that the folks I sold to have received their items, but their payments to me are still 'pending' amost two weeks later. So I've shelled out for postage myself, shipped items they have received and still cannot get access to my funds. It is plain and simple thievery and I shall not use Paypal to sell an item again. Teh sad thing is that they have you by the short hairs. You can complain on this page, or call them up - but they don't care. Follow their rules or don't play the game. Shoddy business practices and quite literally stealing as they could quite conceivably be receiving interest on the money they are holding that rightfully belongs to me. I suppose they have this structured so it is all legal - but I don't see how. It's certainly not good business practices. With the mulitute of complaints I've heard about Paypal I just wish there would be a mass revolution against using the service. But the sheep keep coming ripe for the slaughter, and I wait for money that is rightfully mine that they hold in ransome.
