I just purchased a computer related item from a website from china that sounded to good to be true. Thinking paypal had my back if it went south, I purchased the item for $30. it arrived and was signed for by someone other than me so I did not get to see the package. (I would be able to tell it was not what I ordered) I was not a computer, it was an american silver dollar, possible real. I instantly put in a claim to paypal expecting some backing.....lol, not so lucky. They said to send it back with a tracking number and they would refund the $30,. It costs $47 to do that. I am quite confident these "people" in china knew that so they were quite successful in their theft of my money. In a way, I can see paypal's point but situations like this have to stop. I don't think I was careless on this as I have bought items online for as little as 1 cent that were real, useable items that cost much more. Anyone else have ripoffs that are not protected against by paypal.
