Hi chezbabe,    One of the reason your bank may decline a payment will be if there are insufficient funds in your bank when the payment is requested. They will then send a declined notification to us that the funds are not available. Another reason can be if the details registered on your bank account are different to the details registered on PayPal this can mean a decline. For example if your name is different on PayPal as it is for your bank then your bank may decline the payment.    I would recommend that you contact your bank directly for further clarification on the decline.   I hope this helps and thanks for posting Paula  ... I had the same happening yesterday. Ridiculous, why would my bank decline the payment. I think paypal is doing something wrong and causing payments to be denied.  Interesting, no unswer to this post so far. Why??? ... View more

Hi David,   I got it touch with the bank the day i got the email, as I had plenty of money to cover the payment! The bank advised me that they had not even recieved a request from Paypal, and also no DD had been refused! My account has £29.99 in it currently, I made 2 purchases last week, one for £1.29 the other for £4.95, I shall now see what happens with them,.. If these come back with bank declined, I will ask again, I have a card set up to cover the money as well, and there is also enough money in that as well!   Thanks for the reply David....
