Hello, An ebay seller from whom I bought an item and then returned it has asked me to close a Paypla dispute that I opened before they issue me with a refund. They have told me that they can´t issue a refund while the dispute is open, which seems a bit strange to me? I returned the item without problems and was told that my refund would be processed in 24 hours. Nothing came through, so I contacted them and I was told that the refund was being processed and I would receive my funds in 48 hours. Again nothing came through and so I contacted them. When they didn´t rely, I opened a Paypal dispute and within an hour or so, they contacted me saying that becase the dispute was open, they couldn´t process my refund. I have politely told them that if they refund me then I will happily close the dispute, but as I have had no reply, I am at a bit of a loss at what to do. Is this correct that a seller can´t make a refund if there is a dispute open? And should I do what they ask and close it, or best to hold my ground? Thank you!
