Do you know if you are selling your item as a goods item or service item? If you are selling the item as a service, I think this should remove the postage options and mark as posted options.
I'm not sure if it's possible for you to set up your checkout in order to provide a buyer with a download link in order to download your item.
My best advice for you would be to try going to https://www.x.com. This is a PayPal developer site. You can go there and submit a request in order to see if it's possible for you to link up your checkout to provide a download link for buyers to download your product.
