I came on here to see if anyone had been scammed like me.... never expected to find the forums full of it! I sell alot of small low value items and so recorded delivery etc is not really an option that is practical in many cases, not that i think it would have helped me here. Now my customer bought an item from me ( about £10 inc p&P) and i promptly posted it. After several days i found out from paypal that the funds were on hold as buyer claiming not authoirsed. So i checked the addresses on paypal and ebay and both matched so i knew the tiem would go to them. My question is why would they not email me and say hey i didnt authorise this? Anyway as is 99.9% of the time the case paypal refunded the funds to him. I hadnt heard a word from him so i emailed and asked for goods to be sent back, even offered to refund the postage.... silence. I went through ebay and did the same ... silence. Now for someone that has been scammed i would have thought they would have wanted to atleast speak to the seller? So i decided that i wasnt going to get my goods back and would atelast get my final value fee back.. that would cost them nothing. So i opened a cancel transaction request.... and they denied it!!!!!! Check out their feedback and they had over 22 negatives in last month ( that would have only been from buyers as sellers arent allowed to warn other sellers of scammers!) oh and they conveniently made their feedback private! Blatant scammer yet still on ebay! Now i see that paypal often say they have no control or access to ebay.... bollocks. Ebay state that you MUST offer paypal as an option and paypal is owned by ebay... is this just a licence to print money or what? I have complained to both ebay and paypal but like so many others i hear nothing. This level of service is just disgusting in this day and age. Both companies talk about tackling fraud etc but blatantly dont care so long as they are racking in the money~! Google checkout here i come
