Re: How do I make sure I don't lose out with Fees ...

Yes I called got the actual office that sets the reserves and the only answer I got was    " the reserve is there because of customer satisfaction they may decide after a month they are not happy or even longer"   Points to note 1. My client satisfaction has got absolutely nothing to do with PayPal I was ( maybe mistakenly ) under the impression they were an online payment solution NOT a self assigned public relations committee for my company.   2. We already carry a FULL 30 day money back guarantee.. If there not happy in the first 30 days we refund them the full amount of there fee.   3. In 99.9% of businesses if your not happy and complain it is resolved So what this person is saying is basically that I can go to a fancy hotel ( the Hilton lets say ) have a good weekend eat and drink my fill then in 2 months time decide I'm not happy and get a refund..  IF this can be done in the staff members little perfect world then can I join in.   4. We sold ( yes sold not sell THANKS PAYPAL ) web hosting, design and Internet radio streaming so in your staff members small misguided, nieve and probably from the repetative I can not speak for my self so I will read from a cue sheet as I am a robot from the planet of You Can Get A Refund At Any Time. My clients can sign up buy a digital product from me say a 10 year .com domain registration for £68 then on day 89 decide there not happy and get a refund and I'm out of pocket some £100 yup that makes good practise or is it a case of the more you earn as a seller PayPal see £££££ signs so decide to hold more for longer.    Answer that point for point with out the normal chained responses. Bearing in mind I've been around the Internet for a very very long time including project manager for Symantec so BS Detection is in my blood ( I'm 1/2 dog well being treated like a full dog anyone want to throw me a bone I play fetch good) ... We started using paypal payments pro for credit card payments last year. a 100% hold for 30 days was put on the account we have had 1 (ONE) charge back and that was a guy trying to commit fraud in that hole time. Our account was reveiwed this month took an entire month and now they have changed it to 40% for 90 days ok thats live withable but WOW they have no decided to put it on every payment not just the credit card ones so now any client paying we loose 40% for 3 months this is totaly discusting. Seems Paypal make the rules up as they go along perhaps they will change it next time to 200% for 6 months and ill end up paying them money thanks PayPal you realy do **bleep** ... View more

If the seller can not charge back the paypal fees to its clients how come so many Large companies such as Enom and Reseller club to name but two actually charge you for example   Enom account top up $100 you actally have to pay Non-refundable. Subject to a 3% Online Access Fee. reseller club top up any amount and pay fees for paypal Payments made via PayPal are charged: 2.9% + 30 Cents   I think Paypal should be proactive in checking on this or is it the case that the bigger the company the more you can get away with. ( im not bitter in any sence the fact that PayPal are now the cause for us having to shut down our 3 1/2 year old business due them deciding to steal 40% of all our money not just credit card payments now for 3 months. But we will see what trading standards say about that in the am and the banking ombudsman) ... View more

Your code looks a little wrong from here may be cos its 6 am but try this   <img src="YOURIMAGELOCATION" onmouseover="this.src='YOURIMAGELOCATION';" onmouseout="YOURIMAGELOCATION';" />   Note the ; between ' and "   Also if that dont work try changing your mouse over image name   Saying all that I think CSS is a far better/cleaner and crisp way of doing it ...
