I do a lot of shopping via ebay/paypal . Would it be possible to add a user entry column on the statement for the user to indicate that the purchase has been completed---trying to wade through fifty odd purchases to find any that have not been delivered is very time consuming .  A simple column for the user to tick "OK" for a completed and delivered purchase would help tremendously . It need not have any legal bearing , just an affirmed user comment for the use of the account holder only . ... View more

Given the obvious frauds , and the less obvious ones (item shown as delivered on tracking but no courier name available to dispute this) would it not be a good idea to complain , or at least bring it to the attention of The Chinese Embassy Commercial Attache ? The blatant dishonesty now being shown by a lot of Chinese traders is going to spoil their very lucrative export market . The sad thing is that I buy a lot from China with no problem at all , but have now fallen foul of one of their biggest proxy buying outfits (Banggood) and have not been entirely successful in getting redress , leaving me with the only alternative of doing no more buying from them . It also means that all such sites now have to be viewed with suspicion . It looks like once they have established a name for themselves , they let their standards drop----I have taken this up in another post on here entitled "Are the trading standards of the Chinese sellers falling" or something similar . Not all the Chinese traders are dishonest and in fact they can be far more helpful than many Western sellers . I have had some very good bargains from them with impeccable service , so don't give up on them .  ... View more

Sharpie , Ho ho yo san ,                                       I have asked for a case to be raised because the seller said (last time they didn't deliver) I had left it too long to complain , yet they had given a delivery forecast of about five weeks and I waited that long plus a couple of weeks before raising a case (which I lost) . I have been advised that the item missing had not actually been available at the time of order and forecast delivery , and it has only just appeared as available on some of the more reliable sites . So , with this item , which was available , I shall just have to wait for the result of Paypal's actions with the seller , Banggood , (best stay away from them if you value your money and your sanity). missyliss , best of luck with this one , I had a good case for a refund because the seller claimed the item had been delivered , giving three different times/dates for item having been delivered , yet they could not tell me who the courier was , so how did they check tracking ?. This evidence was not taken into account and I lost my claim . ... View more

Sharpie Maker , Nay Ho Ma ,                                             I am beginning to think you are right . Yet again , today , I have had to seek help from Paypal over another non-delivery .  As usual , I have to give Banggood another couple of weeks , even though I raised the problem with them a month ago .   I believe that any company that it is impossible to contact should be treated with deep suspicion . Banggood have several ways of suggested contact , but none of them work ----for example , an item not received , they want a photo of it and the url of the youtube film . Unless these two are provided , you cannot send the form . How you can picture the item you haven't got is beyond me , and what Youtube has to do with it gawd knows . The other means of contact are equally impossible .  I do believe it's time that the likes of Paypal should bar any payments to these companies ; it should hold the money until the item is delivered .   We should also accept that some companies blatantly lie about what's going on , again , Banggood lied through their teeth to Paypal , losing me a refund even when they gave three different delivery dates and times to show the item had been received by me . I partly blame Paypal for that , it was clear enough to see the confused dates it was supposed to have been delivered , I pointed this out to Paypal and they chose to ignore it .  Ah well , I shall have to see if the Chinese Embassy will take it up for me , their commercial attache should be told of the damage to his country's reputation . ... Well , it certainly looks like I have been done again . This time it's Tomtop . I ordered an item from them and paid for it via Paypal . Checking to see if any tracking info was available , I found that I had apparently ordered nothing . I sent them an email with proof of payment and asked what was going on .  They have not replied , even though they promise a 48 hour response . I shall give them a week then raise it with Paypal . No doubt I will be asked why I took so long to raise the query , and Paypal will tell me to contact the seller, which I have already done with no result . I have bought things from Tomtop before without any problem . I'm 81 and wondering if I will live long enough to get my money back or the item I ordered . Delivery dates given----a let out for sellers ?

Have any of you been affected by the promised delivery times from sellers ?  Beware , they are now using their "Delivery estimated four weeks" as a get out when you  query where an item is , the response being "Tracking shows the item was at your local depot six days after your order " followed by "Why have you waited so long to report it missing" This implies that it's too complicated for them to go back and look . Or just deliberate cheating . Now couple this with their refusal to give the name of the courier company , and their insistence that you check to see if it is at the local depot (how , when they won't identify courier) or with a neighbour . So of course they expect you to go and interrogate all your thieving neighbours .  Now , it is standard practise for all the couriers I know of to leave a note with the addressee telling them where an undelivered parcel is left , either with a neighbour or at the local depot along with  offers to retry delivery at a more convenient time/date .  I know this first hand because I take in on average two parcels a week for working neighbours .  I would advise strongly against dealing with companies who use this ploy and do not name couriers .  I regret to say that this is only happening with the burgeoning Chinese sellers' market , the bigger sellers like Banggood seem to have lost any pretence of customer service now that they are established .  I would caution anyone intending to use them . Even Paypal will not necessarily back up claims when  the errant company provides tracking information showing an item has been delivered , as I know to my cost . I sincerely believe that Paypal should start using their undoubted clout to bring these sellers back into  genuine honest trading .  ... View more
