Hello Kernowlass, thank you for that last reply which helped me understand the way it works.  I emailed the seller of the items to let her know and she has not responded since nor have I received the goods.  I have raised a dispute in the resolution centre to see if that can help because I am now fearing a scam.    However the whole situation has gotten complicated because I now appear to have paid this woman twice.  The first time I tried to transfer money was on the 26th November.  My daughter told me the day after it was the wrong email so I cancelled that payment, & without me realising that cancellation was removed a few days ago as follows:   26 Nov 2014 Add Funds from a Bank Account  CompletedYour transfer from your bank account to your PayPal account is complete. Your transfer from your bank account to your PayPal account is complete.Details £29.00 GBP    27 Nov 2014 Cancelled Payment  Completed  Details £29.00 GBP    27 Nov 2014 Temporary Hold  Placed  Details -£29.00 GBP    4 Dec 2014 Temporary Hold  Removed  Details £29.00 GBP  Total: £0.00 GBP    however when I cancelled the payment on the 27th I sent another off to the correct emails as follows: Related Transaction  Date  Type  Status  Details  Amount   27 Nov 2014 Add Funds from a Bank Account  CompletedYour transfer from your bank account to your PayPal account is complete.  Details £29.00 GBP  Your transfer from your bank account to your PayPal account is complete.   so I have transferred two amounts of £29 to paypal for these items (which i have not received).   Why did the first cancellation be removed?  I didn't want it to be - that was definitely cancelled.  how can I get my money back for that payment?   and how long do I have to wait in the resolution centre for the seller to contact me about whether she is going to post the items or not?  In all honestly I just want my money back for everything.  It's been a bit of a hassle and I am £58 down with no goods.    thank you ... hello, I sent a payment to a seller two days ago and it states completed transaction in my activity detail.  But the seller of the goods (not ebay) has repeatedly stated she can't use the money...her last email said....   o have received the money, but it won't let me transfer it to my bank and pay with it on sites like eBay. I have uploaded proof of me trying to send the money back and pay pal saying to go on the website saying it's an error which I have done and it hasn't helped   any idea what is going on? thanks ... My missing £500 has turned up in my Co-operative bank today.  Thank goodness for that.   I had to borrow money off my employer to get through last week.   Can I ask - how do we go about getting the £5 "faster" transfer fee back?  ... View more

I totally agree that 14 days is just not good enough to start investigating monies disappearing instead of entering our bank accounts.  I am so cross I am going to lessen my personal paypal activity as much as possible (pay direct from my bank account instead of paypal) and look at cancelling our business account too - we do not huge amounts of business through paypal but enough....up to £10K per year.  But I simply don't trust paypal with my money anymore.  As you say....Mickey Mouse.  I do not feel a valued customer.  I will therefore take my business elsewhere.   And let all of my business colleagues know too.  Many of whom are operations / finance directors / MDs of large businesses.  Reputation is key in any business.  ... Me too!  I "fast tracked" £500 four days ago (yes I know there is a bank holiday in that but it should have been in my account Tuesday).  Paypal claim it is in my bank's "holding account".  My bank says there is no such thing and it is Paypal's responsibility to trace the money.  Paypal say they won't do so for at least 14 days.  Why do i have to wait two weeks?!!!  Foolishly I was relying on that money coming into my bank account and I now have no money in my account...welll £3.50.  I have fast-tracked another £300 from my paypal account and am simply having to cross my fingers in the vain hope that will show up.  In the meantime....where is my money?  In these days of truly instant payments I feel I have had my money stolen from me.  I am responsible for my work's paypal account too and they are always trying to push products on me...I have emailed them to say NO.  I don't trust them anymore.  ...
