I bought an item from a seller in China. It was not as described, the seller was completely unhelpful, so I opened a PayPal dispute. The seller did not respond, so I escalated the dispute to a claim. PayPal ruled in my favour, but said that I had to return the item to the seller to receive a refund. I did that, and I provided tracking information, but I just received an email saying that my claim has been closed because I "did not provide the tracking details we requested".
So, the goods are still in transit on their way back to China, but now I'm going to lose my money and the seller will get their goods back and get to keep my cash. I made sure to use a courier that provided end to end tracking, with a signature required on delivery, and I provided PayPal with a direct link to the tracking info. I have done everything they have asked me, yet I'm still out of pocket. It's ridiculous.
Has anyone else experienced this? What can be done about it? Thanks.
