Hi there, I'm an India based paypal user from last 3 -4 year. On August 3rd I made a few withdrawals to my bank accounts. but by mistake one them was to a closed bank account. I forgot to remove the bank account from the paypal after closing it and to my horror I made a withdrawal to that account. I made contact with paypal customer service and they assured me that the bank will refund the money in 3 days and once they do that it will appear on my paypal account within 7 days. A month passed and after numerous calls to paypal customer service they initiated a trace request. I have made contact with my bank also and they confirmed that the funds have been returned on 8th of August. It's been 4 months since the trace is initiated and I have called and emailed paypal customer service hundreds of time. Each time I recieve an answer like the trace is on-going and we will update you as soon as we have any leads. Then recently they said their partner bank has the funds now and they are processing it. But nothing so far. Right now I'm not even sure I'm getting my money back. I researched much on this forum and google and this looks like an isolated event. Nobody had faced this kind of issue before and even if they did, the money got refunded almost within a week. I'm not sure why it's taking so long in my case. Can anybody help me in this matter.
