Hi guys,
Even if you try to send a payment from your account and it doesn't go through, it could result in your sending limit being reduced. I realise that you may be unhappy having being requested to verify your PayPal account but it is a requirement in order for you to have your sending limit removed from your account.
Any time a customer opens a PayPal account, we are required to place sending, receiving and withdrawal limits on your PayPal account. This is in order to comply with European Union Anti-Money Laundering regulations. One option that you would have would be to complete the required steps in order to have your sending limits lifted and when the process was completed, you can then simply remove your bank account from your PayPal account.
This would result in the direct debit in place between your bank and PayPal accounts being cancelled and you would never have the option to fund a payment directly from your PayPal accounts.
I hope this helps,
David.
