Hello,   If I have a button for each painting I wish to sell from my site and someone in America buys a painting and I'm asleep and have 8 hours before I maintain my site abd take the painting down from the gallery...what is to stop someone else seeing the painting and trying to buy it by clicking on the button?   I know that I can tell the button that only 1 of the product exists, and so I am presuming that when someone clicks the button it takes them to a page that  says the item no longer exists.   I just dont like the idea of smoeone clicking on a buy now button for a page to tell them that it no longer exists...Are there any ideas as to what I can do?   Thanks ... An email was sent to me saying i had to fill in adress details and card details, but it went to my mail guard spam box which paypal never does, so i was bit dubious...when i went to my paypal it does seem to have changed and say lift receiving limits, but unlike the other week when i lifted them and went through a process of uploading photos of passport and address, that option is not there...Do I phone paypal? any help would be greatfully recieved ... Hello Misty...ireceived a mail from paypal in my mailguard...so im not sure if it is spam or real but it says I have been tempary limited. I clicked on the link and it takes me to a page to fill all my card and address detail ect...it would not let me do anything else on the navigation bar. So i left it and went to my account and when i clicked on the verification link it does now say "lift receiving limits" Unlike the last time when i went through the processes of limiting, it does not give me any options to send any details...what should I do, shall i ring paypal? I was expecting some purcheses today from the states, do you think this would have shown up as unusual activity and i have been limited? Any help would be wonderful. I would fill in that form, but im dubious as to why it went in my mail gard...it looks ok...but it asks for card details, and my paypal is linked to a savings account...any advice? ... View more

I hope someone can help. I lifted limits by sending photo's of Passport and Proof of address. And they were lifted and every thing fine. I have built a website with some checkout buttons, i tested them and had a friend buy something from me and every thing was ok..Today a blogger talked about my site so I was excited and may be my new venture would take off...then i received an email saying my mailguard had quarantined a message...when I had a look it was from service AT paypal...dubious it was spam i opened it and it says i have to do some things to lift limits. the page looks like its paypal and it is asking for name, address and card details...it had th usual navigation bar at the top but it would not let me go anywhere else from that page.   Worried i closed it and went into paypal like usual. It says im verified and unlike before there is no little blue link saying lift limits...however when i click on the little "verified" link it does look a bit different...it says in quite big writting Lift Recieving limits...unlike before there are not the options fro proceeding to lift a limit. Before i downloaded all my ID details.   Does this mean that the email i got was a proper paypal email and i have to fill it in? If it is, then my only worry is it does not ask for bank details but card details, as my paypal is linked to my bank account...any help would be greatly appreciated as I was expecting my first custom today if all went well...   Thankyou ... Seems straightforward...My paypal is linked to my bank account...will that make a difference? When I change address with my bank will that work the same way e.g. I wait 30 days for my bank to verify with paypal and then switch my new address (which will allready be in my profile) to my primary address?   Thankyou ... Hello again Misty, So every thing looks OK,  I'm set to go and my site is on the web. Just a quick question: If I move home soon, which is very likely, and I change my home address in my profile settings, will paypal limit me again till i give them some proof of my  new home address? Obviously when I lifted my limits recently, with your help, I uploaded a photograph of my passport and address details...will I need to do this again. I'm am just concerned with being limited again   Thank you Misty ... View more

Thanks Misty, just a few more questions if I may. I'm trying to download the jpeg files to PayPay with my proof of address and ID. I do all what is asked but keep going to an error page. I will find someone with a fax I think or do you have any advice?   My questions are this: 1.How long will it take for limits to come off?   2. What is this API thingy all about?...Idont really understand it and don't know what to tick, or even if I have to do it yet.   3.Also, I don't know if my website will work and generate sales (hopefully) so do not know what info to fill in on the paypal page that asks how much revenue I will be making...is this somthing I can do at a latter date?   Finally, on this message board I notice there are things called tags, and that also moderators like yourself get Kudos. do I give you kudos somehow by clicking somethin, as you have been very helpful?   ... Misty, you were correct. I'm starting to get the hang of this now and you have been a considerable help to me...thankyou very much. My site is coming along well and I have generated some cart buttons. All I have to do now is wait for my bank statement to be sent to my new address as I have to lift the limit on my premier account and will need my statement as proof of address. I'm hoping everything will go smoothly with lifting the limit, but if I encounter any probs I will post something on here. Once again you have been very helpful...Thanks ... View more
