My husband used Ebay as a seller for ages and so were four other power sellers we know. They have all taken their business elsewhere. They are urging me to do the same. Hi, Plumb, they can't hold on to your money for more than 21 days and even that's far too long. If they do, this is probably the only time that they will release it when you  complain about it. Some users have had their funds held for up to 4 months! At the moment they seem to have the upper hand but that won't go on forever, especially if they start losing users. They already know who you are as this forum is run by paypal. If they are holding people's money longer for standing up for their rights, then they'll have mine forever!!! Good luck with that, Jaysun. Problem sorting is not paypal or ebay's strong point! They like you to use them but when it comes to problem solving, no chance. Holding money is a new thing that they have started and many, many people are really fed up with it, myself included. I have looked through all the messages about this and nobody seems to to be able to get any help. Ebaying used to be a bit of fun for us non srious buyers and sellers, a good way to find new homes for your bits and bobs but now it has turned into nothing but hassle. Have a look at Amazon or Preloved, they seem to be offering better treatment and fairer deals to their users. If you do get anywhere with ebay and paypal, let us all know!!! ... View more
