I sold an infant pageant dress to a buyer. In the buyers emails, she told me that they had a pageant the following weekend and even included the date. I rushed to mail the item so that she could get it in time for the pageant. There was a hold placed on my paypal funds, so I didn't have the money yet. She received the item two days before the pageant. I sent her three email reguarding her receipt of that dress, with no responce from her. At 8:30pm her time on PAGEANT DAY, I get an email from paypal saying that the buyer was disbuting the transaction because the dress was not as discribed. I feel this ebayer took advantage of a new seller and used my dress for a pageant and now wants a refunds. In a since "rented" my dress for free. She says that the dress was unwearable and the dye was coming off the dress. That dress was in perfect condition when I mailed it out. My daughter just wore it the weekend before and won queen in that same dress. I fear a siding on the buyers side because I am a new seller. I just don't see how they could refund her money when the emails show me that she used my item and then wants her money back. Maybe her kid didn't win, I don't know, but there was NOTHING wrong with that dress. Has anyone had to deal with buyers like this, and what did paypal do?
