When working with a highly customized check out, this sort of error can be caused from multiple avenues, from your funding source denying the charge all the way up to a setting on the seller's account rejecting the payment. Part of the problem of troubleshooting these error messages, without actively looking at your account, is that the merchant's website may not always be clear on why the payment was declined. I would recommend reaching out to the merchant first to see if they can offer assistance with their checkout.
