I sold an item to a person and agreed to take the payment on a layaway basis. Our agreement was that she pays 30% non refundable deposit and that the remaining balance be paid over the next two months. Five months later, after chasing her down for a second payment, she decides she wants all her money back. She opens a claim with paypal, who firstrejects her claim because it is over 45 days and she is no longer protected, and then reopens the claim for "non receipt of item" How do I respond to the dispute. Not sure what Paypal policies are in place to protect me? Layaway is just that...if you don't pay the balance you dont get the merchandise!
