Same here, the CSR thanked me for being with PayPal 16 years, gave me the line about it's a new security measure.  Said just keep putting funds in the PayPal account sooner or later it will build up a history of transfers.  Told her the 'history of transfers'  should have been the hundreds of transactions a year with no issues from my bank transferring the funds over those 16 years.   Anyway, I cancelled both mine and my wife's cards (who is still **bleep** her cell phone service was suspended due to PP declining payment).      ... My debit card has been declined at Amazon several times.  The first time I didn't have funds in the PP acount (usually not an issue, they just took funds from my bank), the second time I had $100 in my PP account.  The Amazon order was for $104 which was declined for insufficient funds (only needed $4 from my backup funding).    Phonecalls to PayPal CSR was a waste, they only said it was a security issue.  Perhaps it is due to the holidays, so I'll wait till early next year, if not resolved, I'll cancel card.  I don't need it if it can't be used reliably.  ... Thanks, I was about to post about the same thing until I saw your post.   The CSR I talked to said just keep adding funds from my bank to the PayPal account and it would clear up eventually.      I'll wait till after the holidays and see if it clears up, if not I'll keep the PP account but cancel the card.     KJ ... I believe the donating members also need a PP account.  It is up to them to choose the funding source for their account (credit card/bank account).      ... View more

If the other person has a PP account, just have them send you the funds.  Of couse they will need  your email address (the email address that is tied to your PP account) to send it to.  ... View more
