PayPal Community

Hi My client based in the UK has been trading fine using wp ecommerce and PayPal as the payment gateway. Recently she has had a customer from the US who has had problems paying via PayPal. The error the customer is receiving is: 'Unable to process payment. Please contact the merchant as the shipping address provided by the merchant is invalid, and the merchant has requested that your order must be shipped to that address.' My client has just setup there PayPal merchant account for a business o sell items on a website Im setting up using the above theme and plugin. I have chosen PayPal Payments Standard 2.0.  When I edit the options I have chosen:   Display name: intovintage username: my clients paypal email address Url: (This was already populated: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr) IPN:  Yes  Send Shipping: Yes Address Override: No   At the moment when I submit an item in the checkout I get sent o the URL PayPal, but I was hoping the user gets the option to buy by credit if they don't have a PayPal account. any ideas??   Please help   rob  ... HI,    I have been working on a website for a friend who is about to sell vintage gear. At the moment I have setup a site using a wordpress theme by storefrontthemes.com. I am also using the plugin wp-ecommerce. We are about to configure the plgin to except paypal payment but we are unsure how to set this up with paypal.   Am I correct to say if we setup a merchant account we should receive an API and thus allow people to purchase items and at the final checkout be whisked over to paypal to submit the final payment?   Is there a fee when applying for a merchant account? Is this the same as a business account? Do either of these accounts force the buyer into creating a paypal account or can they enter there card details with you on that page and still buy the items?   If we choose to keep buyers on our site and allow them to fill out there card details with us do we need a secondary secure system?   Final question, If I wanted to test the relevant setup we use, is there a paypal test procedure?   Sorry for all the questions   rob   What is  ... This is probably an easy question, but I am selling something on Preloved.co.uk and the buyer and myself have paypal accounts. I have never really used my paypal for Buyer/Seller circumstances.   If I was selling an item and he wanted to purchase though paypal what details should I give him, and how long does it take to show up in my account, I guess then I send the item in the post...I gather the address will be registered to the buyers paypal account, how do I check this?   If the item needed to be boxed, is there a way to increase the amount to cover packaging.   Im a little unsure how it works?   rob ...
