Hello, Two years ago I got burned by this new rule. Because of poor communication from both PayPal and the buyer, the item went into dispute, etc. Luckily, the buyer (a real PITA) didn't leave negative feedback for me. And, he's still looking for the item via Want it Now - the item is gathering dust in a closet. Seems PayPal was the one who **bleep**ed up the sale. Pity we can't leave PayPal feedback somewhere on eBay for each item transaction as well. I haven't sold anything since on eBay, and thought I'd check out if anything has changed. Just stumbled onto this thread before I decide if I want to waste my time and call PayPal before I list more stuff. Since eBay gives 5 free listings per month now, I'm going to try a variation of the above. I will list a few items as Buy it Now, explaining the PayPal situation, with the agreement that the buyer, if using PayPal, agrees to 1) immediately leave positive feedback after the purchase 2) wait until payment has cleared (I guess that means I have to call PayPal after 3 days), at which time I will email the buyer shipping tracking #'s and notification the item has been shipped Otherwise, the buyer can mail me a money order or check and wait. Or, since I have nothing to lose, the items won't sell. If the buyer really wants the item, and is honest, they will trust my 100% positive feedback and make the purchase. I have almost $1000 worth of stuff to sell, and need the money. But there is no way I'm going to risk not getting paid. eBay used to be a wonderful place to be able to safely sell a few items now and then. What a shame all that has changed. A White Raven
