Finally given up on doing the fast wiyhdrawals and flushing £5.00 down the toilet every time . Thought i would stick to the normal withdrawal , you know the one....where PAYPAL  promises to have the money in your account within 2-3 working days . Did the first one on tuesday , expecting it to arrive on friday . Seems PAYPAL cant even manage this , no money again . Feels like i am running a charity here , i am giving away stock , paying to have it delivered and not getting anything for it ! Maybe its another one of their security checks from their non existsnt security department  , maybe its my banks fault , or maybe PAYPAL just need to hold onto our funds as long as possible for the extra interest . over 24 hours since my last " fast withdrawal " and still pending ..........suprise , surprise . I have some questions for paypals elusive staff , or maybe someone else out there can answer them. 1. is it true that paypal is registered as a bank in luxembourg and is therefore not regulated by the uk financial services authority ? 2.Is it therefore not possible to obtain legal redress from paypal in the uk courts? 3. I beleive uk regulated bank accounts are protected up to the sum of £85000.00 ,    what if any protection applies to a paypal account should they collapse like northern rock , b&b , and the icelandic banks .? 4. If paypal is registered as a bank  , why does it take so long for a wire transfer to happen , when any high street bank can do it in ten minutes. 5. If i pay my ebay fees direct from my paypal account , the process is completed within seconds , however i can do a wire transfer shortly afterwards and its still pending days later . Why ? 6.Is it true that paypals revenue is estimated to be between 6-7 billion dollars , and that approx 70% of their cash flow is generated through ebay ? 7.Is it true that paypal invests the balances in most of their customers accounts , in short term money markets and other securities ? Some of which may lose value. 8.The problems with wire transfers started approx two weeks ago , which was when the media started going on about greece pulling out of the euro .Has paypal invested customers funds in greece or any of the other failing euro nations? did another fast withdrawal at approx 22.15 last night .   Still showing as pending this morning . Looks like another £5.00 wasted. This method of withdrawal was working fine for me until last week , now its a fiasco . Why the sudden change ? Security checks , technical problems .........lame excuses! As soon as someone pays for an item , paypal charges us fees , as long as the money is sitting in our paypal account paypal are earning interest  , when we make a "fast withdrawal" , they earn again . just a quick  update for all you unhappy paypal customers out there .   The fast payment which i did on sunday night , at a cost of £5.00 , failed to arrive on monday .After being told it was going through their "security system" which would take 72 hours , plus another 48 hours before it would arrive in my account  , in desperation to get my hands on some funds i attempted another fast payment ( another £5.00) on monday night , hoping it would arrive on tuesday .   Surprise , surprise , its still pending , 24 hours later .   But , bigger surprise , the first fast transfer , the one being held by their "security system"  for 72 hours , turned up today .    UNBELIEVABLE!  Does anyone in paypal actually no whats going on ? There have been so many postings on this item , and i havent seen one suitable response from a paypal representative . They seem to be forgetting the most important thing ,    ITS OUR MONEY , THEY ALREADY TAKE THEIR CUT IN FEES , AND THEN THEY CHARGE US AGAIN IF WE WANT TO ACCESS THE FUNDS QUICKLY.....AND THEY DONT DELIVER! And when we complain or make enquiries , they refuse to discuss account details with us , " because of security" , isnt that what we have passwords for? Someone from paypal make my day , there are pages and pages of postings all relating to the same subject , my two postings have had over 100 hits in less than 24 hours . 120 hours , for a fast transfer , blimey , how long will a normal transfer take !!!!!! Still no response from paypal regarding my posting and recent email . No surprise really . Maybe you should contact your customers and tell them you cant  send out their goods for at least 120 hours , because you havent received the funds from paypal . I have a stack of parcels to send tomorrow , and if i dont get the funds through , then they are not getting sent  , after all , i am in business to make money , its not a charity  i am running . If all the sellers on here , who are still waiting for "fast transfers" , refused to send out the goods , there would be a **bleep** of a lot of buyers complaining to paypal  . so many complaints , and as usual no satisfactory explanation from paypal . I did a withdrawal last night , paid the £5.00 , expecting it to arrive in my bank account today . IT DIDNT . At 6pm today on checking paypal account it was still showing as pending .  Having used this process hundreds of times before , and the funds always arriving next day , i was slightly concerned , and called paypal  for an explanation . Total time on the phone , approx  one hour , total cost of call about £10 in pay as you go credits .  A selection of questions and answers for your delight...... Q.    Where is my money? A.  Your transaction is being held for up to 72 hours while it is investigated by our security system , it may take another 48 hours after that before it arrives in your account. Q. Is there a problem with my account , has someone attempted to access my account , is there any evidence of fraud , is there a problem with any of the payments i received .? A. There is no problem with your account , no fraud  , etc Q. Then why is my account being investigated by your security system ? A. I cant tell you that. Q . Well can you put me through to someone who can , i would like my money? A . No one can help you Q . Well put me through to your security department  A . We dont have one. Q. Well if you have a security system , you must have someone in charge of it ? A . We cant tell you that. Q . Well let me speak to the most senior person in your department. A . He wont come to the phone Q . Well give me his name and then put me through to your customer services department or complaints department. A. We dont have one . Q If i make another transfer this evening , will this one be held by your security system also ? A. We cant tell you that. Q. Should i stop selling stuff on ebay untill this is resolved , because if people pay for an item and postage then i need to access these funds to pay the carriers .  . If you are telling me i cant access the funds i dont really want people to still send me money , when they will realistically have no chance of receiving their goods ?. it seems that the terms and conditions listed regarding paypals seller protection are misleading . please refer to  complaint number   PP-XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX.   DESPITE DESPATCHING TO THE CONFIRMED ADDRESS , WITHIN 7 DAYS , AND PROVIDING YOU WITH A TRACKING NUMBER  AND A SIGNED PROOF OF DELIVERY , THIS COMPLAINT WAS AWARDED IN THE CUSTOMERS FAVOUR .   End result being customer has goods and money , me , the seller has no money and no goods . Despite my latest appeal being closed , no explanation has been given .
