I also have an issue with paypal when it comes to this. When you speak to them they ask for proof of postage and their PUBLISHED terms also refers to proof of postage but what they actually mean is that they want to see a signature. They don't seem to understand that in the English language the words postage and delivery have different definitions. Paypal is completely unwilling to assist us as sellers and is artificially driving up the price by forcing us to use recorded delivery options. Of course this has nothing to do with the fact that they charge a fee on the TOTAL transaction value. So unless your customer signed in his own blood (so that Paypal can do DNA analysis) you can say goodbye to your money. To add insult to injury, eBay (who owns Paypal) WON’T automatically refund you FVF when they (I mean Paypal – they are different companies when it suits them) refunds the buyer.
