I have been a happy PayPal customer for nearly 10 years. There has been glitches from time to time, but they where always worked out, until now. About a year ago, I switched my funding source for PayPal, from a bank account to the PayPal Extras MasrerCard. And now I have learned about a INCREDIBLY STUPID item within the agreements between a small number of merchants and PayPal. I was placing a order at TigerDirect.com, and my transaction was declined by PayPal. I didn't understand, by account was in good standing, my credit card was good, so why was it declined? After two hours on the phone, I am finally told, "Tigerdirect has the option to say what funding sources you use, and PayPal Extra MC is not excepted" Why would PayPal allow anyone that excepts PayPal, to dictate the funding source? I have used PayPal for nearly $10,000 in transaction over the last year, and I think that is going to come to a stop. I will for the first time, start looking into other online payment systems.
