I've been having debit card issues and today talked to a specialist named Adam who said the problem was that there was no birthdate or social security number on my account. We talked on the phone twice. The first time he told me the steps to put a birthdate on my account and I think during the convo, which should be on tape I hope, I gave him the last four digits of my social. He called me back after I upgraded my birthday, I am on dial up and only have one phone line so I could not talk to him and be online at the same time so he called me back, and I told him I successfully did the steps like he said. Then he proceeded to help me put my social security number on my account and read me the whole number without me having to tell it to him. I had my paper in my hand with the number on it ready to read to him but he already knew it, I was a bit starteled but did not say anything about 'how did you know that?' Now I am worried, so how did he know that and how do I know my information is safe because I just don't have any money or ability to go through id theft and I am not going to jail for crimes commited in my name like this one lady went to jail for almost a month and she was better off financially and of a better social class than me. I'll kill myself first. Seriously, I've been waiting for an excuse.
