I just sold a used Predator 314 2nd generation shaft on eBay last week. I was posting a bid, starting from $109.99, with a Buy It Now price for $150. There were several people who were interested in my used shaft and someone had already bid for my shaft. Then, suddenly, there was a guy from Australia, saying he would like to pay for $150 directly for my shaft and asked me to reply him as soon as possible. This was in the first email he wrote to me. And then, I noticed that he was from Australia, and I checked his ID, indicating he just registered on eBay just before he emailed me and my product was the first one he made on eBay. So, we kept talking abou the international shipping. I actually paid over $35 for his shipping and he only paid me $27. But, since this was partly my fault about the shipping cost as well, so I didn't ask him to pay the extra $8. When he received his product, he then told me he does not like it by claiming that there are five dents on my shaft and he can't play with the shaft because he doesn't like dents. As a matter of fact, this was a used shaft, which I already stated in my description and I said it is in a good condition. The buyer outrageously accused that I lied to him by not saying there are dents on it. He filed a dispute by saying that the item is not as described only because he thinks the shaft is not in a good condition. He told me he had purchased several used shaft before at lower costs with higher quality. He saved nearly one third of the market price to get a used shaft and expect the shaft to be perfect with no dents at all, just like a new one. It doesn't make any sense. Also, I have made clear statement, saying that no returns will be allowed in my description. He, then, asked me if he could either get $50 refund or return it to me. I said "No". Then, he threatened me by saying that he would leave a negative feedback and filed a dispute. I said, "you can do whatever you want, it's totally your choice, but I have stated clearly enough in my description. So there's nothing wrong with me. " Then, he filed a dispute and left a negative feedback and asked the refund for at least $75. I escalated the dispute to a Claim without any hesitation. Also, I provided some evidence to Paypal. I just wanna know that how the Paypal will proceed with the statement "Item not as described"? Does anyone have any experience before? Thanks!
