I am a Canadian who lives close to the US border near Ogdensburg, NY, and ship very successfully to the UPS store there which is set up to receive parcels for hundreds of Canadians like me. I have had no problem shipping to that address when I order items through Amazon.com paid for with my Canadian VISA card. The address is clearly well-confirmed and should be recognized as acceptable to all shippers. I am currently bidding on an eBay.com (US shipping only) item that I wish shipped to that US address and will pay with my PayPal.ca account, but PayPal will not allow me to set that as an alternate Shipping address (what they call a Gift address). Why not? The item will be paid for reliably and shipped to a confirmed US address. This is the only alternate shipping address that I wish to have while I am living at my current Canadian address (and have lived at for the past 40+ years. What is the problem? PayPal please fix this ASAP, as I don't wish to have to endlessly explain to each new US shipper what my alternate shipping arrangements are. I should be able to register those wishes with PayPal/eBay and have them confirmed to whatever extent they wish so all "security" concerns are satisfied. I have been a confirmed PayPal/eBay.ca user for over 9 years.
