I haven't been able to share with anyone else as I actually feel really silly! I sent someone around 950£ via paypal. There was a lot of back and forth- they wanted me to use friends and family but I pushed to use the alternative so I had buyer protection. Classic scam tactic but they were sent the money to purchase something for me. The reason why I asked them was because the product was available in their country and they knew the vendor so got discount. The item was hair. The problem is there was no storefront, refund policy, none of that. Just the interactions between me and them. Long story short after sending the money.( I even sent it one time and they refunded me), suddenly communication has stopped. They have multiple email addresses they are using on paypal I suspect to scam others. I opened a case hoping to get some or all of my money back however the person didn't even respond to the case, they simply denied it. I provided a screenshot with them providing that email to send the money to as well as conversations that clearly show we had an agreement. Annoyingly, the email on my paypal was an old one so the case was closed and I don't have access or an understanding as to why, all I know is the seller never responded other than they did not do this. I completely recognise I was stupid and lack of judgement or just really wanting this product means I've made a silly mistake. I have opened another dispute/case+ updated my email so I can actually understand what is happening. Is there anything else I can do? If I wanted to report the other emails the are using on paypal, can I do that? does it matter to paypal/anyone?
