need help. I wanted to send money to my wife. I went under send to bank. I wrote down my wife’s bank account in Germany I-ban on there. Under information I wrote her first name. Last name. Under email since it said optional I left it blank. Then I clicked send. PayPal authorized to pay 7k to some random person they picked her email and sent her money but not my wife’s I-ban that I authorized. My bank declined the payment. Now I owe PayPal 7k. Has this happened to anyone? Can PayPal make my account negative while they send money to some random email I didn’t authorize or choose? I did call PayPal and disputed it. They said they don’t see anything wrong with it. I keep saying I didn’t choose the email but they insist they sent it to info I wrote. And I keep telling them I chose the I-ban number. No where did I choose that email. I don’t know who that person is. And no one is helping me! So help please any guidance would be helpful. Try what I did and go to send money and under send to bank. If you follow steps you see the part for email is optional which is most important part apparently since they chose a random email to send money to! I took screen shots and have proof and they keep denying it!
