The bank refunded, but Paypal punished me by locking my account, making me send a statement as to why I complained to the bank, and unlinked all my bank accounts so I have to re-add them if I want to keep using their service. I haven't bothered doing that yet and have been avoiding using PayPal altogether since the issues.

They really shouldn't support G2A. I was scammed on that site too being provided with used keys for MS Office and Windows that can't be used for activation, which is the equivalent of getting nothing at all. Paypal refused to refund my money saying "We have reviewed the claim(s) you filed and decided the case(s) in the seller's favour. This decision was made because we received shipment tracking from the seller confirming that the item was delivered." This was after I supplied screenshots proving the keys were unusable. I'm not even overly bothered about losing the money, but I am annoyed that scammers can easily use PayPal to steal from their victims and have PayPal back them up which is disgusting.

I found it odd that they said they were provided with "shipment tracking" but I guess they just cut/paste this for all disputes. It also seems extremely easy to use PayPal to scam if all you have to do as a seller is provide a fake key which could be any random string of numbers and letters the seller makes up and Paypal will find in your favor since the "item was delivered". I just wish I hadn't wasted my time opening the dispute and providing screenshots that were likely not even looked at for a second. I used a debit card for the PayPal transaction which according to my bank website can be used to dispute a transaction which I guess is where I'm at now. I've already wasted a few weeks trying to get a refund through G2A and PayPal so hopefully it won't be too late.

I got scammed by a G2A seller who provided used software keys to me for MS Office and Windows. I filed a dispute with Paypal, but they found in favor of G2A because according to the email I received "This decision was made because we received shipment tracking from the seller confirming that the item was delivered." This is impossible as there was no item to ship, and even if there was the issue is the software is not usable due to the activation keys being wrong, as I showed them in the screenshots when I filed the dispute. The dispute still shows as being open and "under review". Where do I go from here? Do I have to accept that PayPal is not safe and just take the loss, or can I appeal because their conclusion is wrong possibly due to the seller providing fraudulent info to PayPal?
